Rod's abstract art has been deeply influenced by the works of many of the pioneers of Abstract Expressionism, including Jackson Pollock, Marc Rothko and Joan Miro, resulting in his eclectic style which exhibits elements of the masters techniques, while remaining uniquely Rod's own.

Though born in the middle of the 20th century Rod's abstract expressionist and non-representational work blazes new trails in 21st century art. Rejecting the artistic sterotypes of the mainstream, his work reflects a deep respect for the masters of the past, and yet countinues to push back the boundaries of 21st century art.

Rod's work is held in private collections in the US, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean.
